Stefie Deeds, MD

I was born and raised in Michigan. I went to the University of Michigan for my undergraduate degree (Go Blue!) and I continued my journey in the midwest by attending the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Ohio. I decided to to find the best internal medicine training with a focus on primary care. This lead me to venture far from home when I matched at the University of Washington Internal Medicine Residency Program in Seattle, Washington. I fell in love with the region, the people, and the lifestyle that living in the Pacific Northwest affords.

 

I have worked in academic medicine for 7 years, conducting operational and quality improvement research. Noting a need to help my patients achieve greater health and tackle chronic illness. I became board certified in obesity medicine. I have spent hours of study, research, and personal experience working with patients to develop my expertise in treating obesity and improving metabolic health. My clinical interests include metabolic health, women's health, longevity. My practice style is integrative, combining lifestyle medicine, nutrition, and medications.

When I am not working with patients, leading projects, or teaching trainees, you can find me at home with my family. My partner and I have two young energetic sons who keep us on our toes 24/7. We love to play and imagine, visit neighborhood playgrounds, and go to the rocky beaches. I enjoy spin and barre, tennis, reading, creating, and trying new things. You might find me coaching tee ball, digging in the sand, or checking out a local eatery.
